SUNDAYS AT 11:00 AM
ONSITE OR ONLINE
WELCOME
Join us for progressive worship led by Rev. Dr. Jo Hudson every Sunday morning at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall (the Glory Be Hall) at Greenland Hills, UMC at 5835 Penrose Ave. Dallas, Texas.
Our worship is intellectually stimulating, and emotionally inspiring. Each service includes a blend of ancient and modern worship elements and music. We celebrate the Feast of Holy Communion each week and everyone, including and especially our children, are welcome.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome at New Church - Chiesa Nuova, United Church of Christ.
MY KIDS
We welcome children in worship! A special Children's Message is included in our service each week, and we provide a Worship Guide just for our children with puzzles and coloring.
There is also a nursery available for infants and preschoolers, if you prefer.
YOUTH
We have an active youth ministry led by Reverend Yadi Martínez-Reyna. In addition to meeting each week, our youth also assist in leading worship, go on mission trips, have lock-ins, complete service projects, and attend summer camp at Slumber Falls.

We meet in the Fellowship Hall (The Glory Be Hall) of Greenland Hills UMC, 5835 Penrose Ave. Dallas, Texas 75206
Worship begins at 11am and last about one hour.
Sunday is the day we gather to worship God. We have a keyboardist and vocalist. We've recently added a drummer, bassist, and violinist to our music team. Each service includes a blend of modern music as well as one or two more traditional hymns. Don't worry if you don't know the words - the music is printed in the Worship Guide, and lyrics are projected on a screen. (No fumbling through hymnals or wondering which book to pick up.) We'll have plenty of paper versions of the Worship Guide, but you're also welcome to bring your tablet and download a digital version. The sermons are taught, not yelled, and are thought-provoking. Everyone is invited to come a few minutes early, and grab a great cup of coffee or tea, and a doughnut or two.
Ah, the age-old question. Come as you are. If you want to be casual, you'll be in good company. If you feel like dressing up, you're free to do that, too. Most importantly, be comfortable.
Yes! Children are always welcome in worship, but there is childcare available, if you prefer, for infants - pre-schoolers.
Youth are invited to meet with our youth minister, Rev. Yadi Martínez-Reyna at 11:00am, and will then join us for communion toward the end of the service.
The church where we worship, Greenland Hills, UMC, is truly a neighborhood church, so parking can get a little crowded. But the residents on the surrounding streets are used to a bit more traffic on Sundays. You may want to give yourself an extra five minutes in case you have to park a little farther away.
There are a few handicap spaces in the parking lot, as well as a reserved area for handicap parking in front of the sanctuary.
Nope. Everyone is invited to register their attendance via our website or by utilizing a QR code through your smartphone. You don't have to register at all, or you can just enter your name. If you choose to share your contact information, we'll only contact you if you tell us you want to receive communications from us. But if you're up for it, Jo, our Senior Pastor, would love to meet you for a cup of coffee.
Absolutely not. We won't ask you to stand while others remain seated. You won't be asked to remain seated while others stand. You'll likely have more than one person come and introduce themselves to you. That's just our way of welcoming people.
We celebrate the Feast of Holy Communion every Sunday. EVERYONE is welcome to participate. (This means you!)
We are currently worshipping in the Fellowship Hall at Greenland Hills, United Methodist Church. Our worship services are separate - the Greenland Hills congregation worships in the sanctuary. Our congregations do come together for some ministry opportunities, as well as book studies and some social events, because we've found the people of Greenland Hills to be extremely warm and welcoming, and we like hanging out with them!
While our services are held at a Methodist church, we remain a congregation of the United Church of Christ.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU
