We're so glad you've decided to join us for the Eleventh Annual Family Friendly Retreat & Float BeachTrip! The trip will take place at Surfside Beach, near Freeport, TX, June 9 – June 12, 2024.

We expect this trip to sell out. Rooms can be reserved on a first come basis. If we have sufficient interest, we will look at booking a second, smaller house nearby.

ARRIVAL

Most people will leave immediately following church on Sunday, but you are welcome to arrive anytime after 4pm on Sunday.

 

DAILY

We will spend Monday and Tuesday hangingout on Brazoria Beach.  Feel free to bring a beach chair, beach blanket, good book, or anything else you might want to make your day more relaxing. We will have 3 canopies that we'll set up each morning to provide some shade. Cars can be driven directly onto this section of beach, so loading and unloading will be a snap.

 

We’ll have a grill and will cook a meal each day for lunch. We'll also have an ice chest to keep drinks cold.

 

The house is a quick 4 minute walk away from the beach, so everyone can come and go as they please.

 

DEPARTURE

Checkout time is 10am.

We'll be staying in "Beach View Paradise" with beautiful views of the gulf from the multiple balconies. Check out the house HERE.

FOOD & DRINK

MEALS PROVIDED

The house has a beautiful kitchen where we will prepare our own meals. Breakfast will be simple - cereal, yogurt, etc. We'll cook a full meal for dinner, and we’ll throw something on the grill for lunch on the days we’re at the beach. Click HERE to see the menu for the trip.


SNACKS & DRINKS

Please feel free to bring any snacks you want, any other food items you want, along with anything you want to drink. (Be sure to bring plenty of bottled water, or a reusable water bottle.)

 

 

SHOPPING

There is a Kroger about 25 minutes away, and multiple convenience stores about 5 miles away from the house.

 

 

The house consists of eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Each bedroom accomodates between 2-5 people.

 

There is a large living area with a smart tv, as well as a tv in each bedroom. There is also ample dining space to share meals together or for games.

COST

ROOMS

The cost for each room is $375. You are then welcome to have as many as 5 people stay in the room. If you don't want to pay for an entire room, you are able to register for 1/4 or 1/2 room. We will then pair up people to share rooms that have been partially reserved.


MEALS

The cost for meals is $60 per person. (This is in addition to the room cost.)

 

SO MANY OPTIONS!

If sharing space with 15-20 people is not your thing, you are welcome to arrange your own lodging and just pay for meals. Or, you can even do your own thing, including your meals, and just come join us on the beach each day!
