December 1 will mark the beginning of the Christian church year. It also marks the beginning of the journey to Christmas.

This year at New Church we would like to ask each member of our congregation to consider making a promise to yourself and each other to be present for each worship service during this special season.  This is simply one of the most beautiful seasons of the church year and is a great time to invite your friends and family. What better time to return to church than at the beginning, in the season when we wait for the coming of the Christ Child?

SUNDAY OF SERVICE DONATIONS

This year we are collecting items and donations to support our SOS ministry. You can give a financial gift, purchase items from our Amazon wish list, or bring gently used coats and blankets to hand out.

Please plan to bring all gifts by Sunday, December 22.

ADVENT MISSION INITIATIVE

The Heifer Project

This year New Church will receive a special offering to support The Heifer Project. Heifer International is a global nonprofit working to eradicate poverty and hunger through sustainable, values-based holistic community development.

It is our goal to raise $300 to provide families with a Hope Basket, that includes rabbits and a flock of chickens.

So, bring your loose change and bills. Empty your piggy banks, look in your couch cushions and in your car seats, and bring what you can to help change lives around the world.

ADVENT DEVOTIONAL

More Than Words: Advent Devotions

These Advent devotions explore seven gifts from God that help us navigate the season of waiting: care, faith, justice, hope, peace, joy, and love.

We receive these seven Advent gifts from God in order to put them to work for the good of all God’s people. Care, faith, justice, hope, peace, joy, and love are tools that help us as we wait, preparing us and our communities to receive the gift of Christ.
