ABUNDANT BLESSINGS WITH A SIDE OF CHILI

OCTOBER 4 12:30pm-2:30pm

BLESSING BAGS FOR THE HUNGRY

  • New Church has always had a passion for feeding hungry people and we have distributed "Blessing Bags" filled with food, hygiene items, and socks since we began as a church.
  • There has been a noticeable increase in people needing assistance. It seems that there is a hungry person at most major intersections throughout Dallas.
  • Blessing bags will be assembled by our Deacons and will be available to pick up on Oct. 4.
  • To find out how to donate supplies to help fill the bags:

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

  • Bring your pets on as we mark the Feast of St. Francis with a service of the Blessing of the Animals.

  • Please make sure that your pets are on a leash or in a carrier for the safety of all who will be participating.

BLESSINGS FOR YOU

  • Jo will be available to offer blessings over anyone who would like to receive one.

A SIDE OF CHILI

  • Due to COVID, we will not be able to host our traditional Chili Cookoff this year. But that doesn't mean we have to go without chili!

  • Pints of chili will be available to purchase for $5 each. All proceeds will help send our children and youth to church camp next summer.

  • The chili will be the first place chili from last year's Chili Cookoff, provided by Tracy Curtis from Greenland Hills, UMC.
